Use gimx-loader to flash firmware, it is designed for it.

Check wiring and cables, also check if RX/TX isn't inverted. Please post photo of wiring.

On Linux AFAIK you have to set mouse polling rate. Also make sure you match 2800 Dpi with your mouse or adjust sensitivity if you can't.

Adapter comes with PS4 firmware, if you want to load other firmware however it's very easy. Just some buttons and flasher is built in gimx.

Yes this is possible. People use gimx with wheels and custom pedals together and game sees that as one device.

Make sure you turned off controller before plugging it to pc.
