Currently Gimx can only work with the first gen Xbox one controller (without 3.5 audio jack). Which controller you use with gimx?

In case of Fortnite, this game supports mouse and keyboard without adapter converter, just plug your key/mouse directly to ps4.

About disconnect DS4 problem, you can try to disable USB Seletive suspend setting in Power Options.
