Is USB to UART needed on RPi?

Post by Pr2 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 11:49 am

Hi

Before anything, im trying to emulate a g29 having g27 instead.

Could you please post the link? As long as ive read, a raspberri is needed to "detect" my g27, then the data is sent through gpio interface to atmega device, wich emulates a g29. I thought that, in that case, you will need ttl to usb so ps4 can detect the atmega as usb device. But pro mega has already an usb interface so im lost here, dont understand why two interfaces are needed on arduino. Ive understood that one usb is needed and gpio interface. Of course im wrong here, could you please give a little help?

Thx so much!

Hi,

I moved your post the the GIMX discussion section as you were hijacking a topic in the "Introduce yourself" section.

Yes, the UART port of the RPi can be used to replace the USB to UART adapter.

Also please read the wiki for chip compatibility.
