Controller output as keyboard?

Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to make GIMX do the reverse--take controller input--and output them as keyboard keys? My reasoning is that I want to be able to take my old PS3 Rock Band Drum Pedal and repurpose it for PS4 as a keyboard pedal. I would like to bind it to a modifier key {Ctrl, Shift, or Alt} if possible.
