Using Gimx as PS3 for android tablet game

Post by Benny_ds »

Hi

Searched the forum but couldn't find an answer.
I play some games using a PS3 controller and a OTG cable on an android tablet.
I tought the Gimx pretended to be a ps3 controller and that it would be plug and play. It's not

Is it possible to use an android tablet as the destination device?
Or would be alot of work to add it? ;)

I get these codes returned in the window:
1578478187.735653 debug packet received (size = 1 bytes)
0x02
1578478187.736181 debug packet received (size = 1 bytes)
0xee

Gimx works fine on the PS3 so no hardware problem.
Thx for the feedback.

GIMX pad emulation is intended for consoles. It may work on PC/Android but it is not officially supported feature.
My hardware: PS3 Slim CFW 4.80 | PS4 Pro 500 Million LE | PS5 | Xbox Series X
Steam: Godlike_RU | PSN: GoDlike_RU | XBL: GoDlike

I moved this topic to the discussion section since it talks about an unsupported target platform.

I have some ongoing work to improve the firmwares, which will make allmost all firmwares work with a PC as target. This may make your use case work as well.
