Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum members here. I have been enjoying sim racing since the mid 80s and started out on my first real computer which was a Acorn BBC Micro, the racing simulator was Microprose REVS and is considered by many to be the first racing game that could be called a simulator, I actually had a Sinclair ZX81 with 1k memory and a 16k RAM Pack which had racing game but it was little more than navigating through a set of white blocks on a black screen LOL how far we've come! Later came Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix which brought the graphics out of 80s pixelation into the world we know now.

It wasn't until I got a Sony PlayStation 1 and Gran Turismo came along that my inner racer was rekindled, I played GT2 then GT3 on the PS2. The PS3 and GT4 got me out of keyboards and controllers into my first racing wheel, the Logitech Driving Force GT (DFGT) which has been my faithful friend for over 7 years and taken me to GT6. The GT series is amazing in how it brought so many of the cars we all know into our hands, my favorite has always been the RUF BTR '86 which I drove on the Nurburgring and tuned almost exclusively since GT4, lap times of 6:28 are a testament to my devotion to the 911 chassis which is one of the hardest to master.

Time moves on and I have started to look at the new games on PC, I have a GTX660ti card which seems sufficient for 60fps at 1080p. It wasn't until trying Project C.A.R.S. (Which to be honest was a nightmare to set up a wheel with) that I started to see the limitations of my trusty DFGT, with Assetto Corsa it became obvious I needed an upgrade. I have just bought a brand new old stock Fanatec CSW V2 and will be adding a Fanatec Formula rim and CSL Elite LC pedals in the next week, at some point a PS4 or PS5 when they release will be added but for now GT6 on PS3 and Assetto Corsa on PC will be what I will racing on.

I do not know if I will even need the GIMX adapter at this point but it seemed like a good idea, hopefully if I have questions or can be helpful answering others this forum will help.

Should have all my new gear in a couple of weeks and look forward to getting to know it and you all then.
