Use GIMX over Bluetooth in Windows ... sorta

Because this is explicitly unsupported I did not want to make it a wiki tutorial. I also did not do an exhaustive search on whether or not this had already been hashed out.

Motivation:
I am a one handed gamer. I have issues hitting R1 on a standard playstation controller. A keyboard is a perfect solution for me. I did not like my penguin unlimited keyboard controller because its harder to dynamically change and did not provide macro support (which I have yet to use)

I am a streamer. My capture card does not work in linux. My system is old and running windows in a VM did not work out well (60% cpu utilization from System - aka the network). I needed to run Windows natively.

Basically I run VMware with linux as a guest. I then attach the USB keyboard and mouse to the VM (mouse is required or GIMX cant grab it correctly). This comes at a cost, Windows cannot use that keyboard or mouse until I shut down the linux system so its not suitable for everyone. GIMX then just works like normal.

I have done a step by step install in this gist https://gist.github.com/Nom-DePlume/a2a ... b61b501792
I use this setup on my stream if you want to see it in action (probably wont be able to tell) http://twitch.tv/five_finger_discount

Thanks for sharing your experience.
It's a pity the Windows BT API is very limited.
I still want GIMX to be able to use BT on Windows, but this probably won't happen anytime soon, as I'm really overloaded.

Is this possible without the VMWare yet?

Nope. Windows Bluetooth stack makes it almost impossible to implement.

I would not say impossible, but definitely too much work for me to consider working on it.
