[Help] teensy.exe not recognizing my board

I purchased a Teensy 2.0 with pins from pjrc and downloaded the windows teensy.exe file to my pc. When i load the program and press the button on the teensy, the LED stops flashing, but the program still insists i press the button. I have tried this on two computers already, and i am confused as to how a teensy board purchased from pjrc could be a counterfeit (i have already scrolled throughout this forum for previous help). Thank you
