Windows 10, USB adapter, PS4, G27

Post by collective.matt »

Hey there,

I'm currently running the DIY USB adapter on a 64 bit windows 10 computer. After spending days trying to figure out why my G27 was not recognized, I followed another post and had to go into the g27_g29.xml file and rename anything "Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB" to " G27 Racing Wheel". After this the GIMX check finally said everything was OK. Now when I hit start this is the log file I'm getting:

"option -l with value `log.txt'
option -c with value `LogitechG27_G29.xml'
option -p with value `COM3'
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set
native mode is already enabled for HID device \\?\hid#vid_046d&pid_c29b#7&1f166810&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030} (PID=c29b)
ReadFile failed: timeout expired.
can't read packet header
No controller detected.
adapter_detect failed"

Any help here would be awesome

I tried to update the USBdlc driver in the Tools and now my it says my PS4 controller is not recognized during the check. This is honestly so depressing, I've spent weeks messing with this.

I just swapped these and I'm still getting this log response

"option -l with value `log.txt'
option -c with value `LogitechG27_G29.xml'
option -p with value `COM3'
status flag is set
subpos flag is set
force_updates flag is set

Hi,

I have no idea what this driver is...

The "adapter_detect failed" message indicates that your adapter is defective.
Check your wiring and your USB cables (one may be defective).
If it doesn't help, please post a clear picture of your adapter.

I have exactly the same issue on WIndows 10.

ReadFile failed: timeout expired.
can't read packet header
No controller detected.
adapter_detect failed"

I have adapter for a long time now and it works fine with Ubuntu and RPI.
Sometimes Windows gives "unrecognised device" error.

Make sure you are plugging the Dual shock into a USB 2.0 port and NOT a 3.0 or higher port. I had the same problem and this fixed it for me. ;)
