Hey guys, so I'm fairly familiar with GimX, have been using it for over a year on my xbox and LOVE it, but I'm actually trying to help a friend get his set up over TV. He bought Matlo's adapter and I believe that the I can't get it working because the firmware for the USB adapter is wrong, but I may be mistaken. Perhaps he didn't specify what he would be using it when he bought it from Matlo and he was sent one configured for PS4? Only thing I can think of.
It says that USB Adapter Detected, Controller: PS4 G29 or something in the log file. Does that mean that the firmware is for that specific wheel? Would I need to update it to the firmware for xbox one? I haven't updated the firmware on mine since I first did it a year ago so I can't really remember. I know that you can set up the config for different controllers but I just sent him mine I already have configured for my xbox and it still says PS4 G29.
Thanks for any help guys!

Re: Wrong firmware?
Install GIMX 6.8. It has a new firmware loading tool called gimx-loader.
