Need help installing onto PC

Trying to install Gimx onto PC so I can use my OSW direct drive wheel with Forza 7. I installed the Gimx software and firmware onto my desktop .When I open the Gimx launcher this is what shows :

Output- DIY USB
Port- COM7
Input- Physical device
Config - LogitechG27_G29.xml
Message- none
Grab mouse- checked

When I click on Check box I get these response :

joystick not found: Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB(0)
joystick not found PS4 Controller (0)

I also clicked on Help in the Gimx Launcher it opens a pop up window . I then click on Get configs . Another window pops up which has a list of files . There is no file named: EMUG27PC

My question is do I have to download the firmware which would have EMUG27PC file and if so how do I install it into Gimx

When I open the Gimx program file under firmware I do see EMUG27PC .

Final question on the Gimx launcher . Under the Config line should it read : EMUG27PC

Thank you for the help.

Hello,

This is a configuration issue. The LogitechG27_G29.xml configuration is intended to be used to map a real G27 to an emulated G29.

What you have to do is to make your own configuration.
Open gimx-config and select "Type>G27 PS3".
In the "Button" tab, map all your buttons.
In the "Axis" tab, map all your axes (wheel and pedals).
Save your new config and try it!

Thank you for responding , I followed your instructions and I selected my saved configuration in the Gimx launcher. I got a window pop up
(This config seems ok) I then pressed start and left that window open . In the start window it says :

windows/gprio.c:23 gprio: failed to set priority class
global option-c with value 'COM7'
now reading aurguments for controller #2
subpos flag is set
force_ updates flag is set
USB adapter detected, controller type is: G27 PS3
start the game with adualshock 3, and then reassign controllers.
using default referesh period: 10.00ms
Timer resolution: 156250 max 5000 current 5013
rounding timer period to 9524

. Now when I go into the input menu for Forza 7 I selected the G27 and saved started game and I have no response from my wheel the pedals work but the wheel does not.

I merged this topic with the new one you created. There's no need for two topics when it's same problem.

We still need your configuration file.

Code: Select all

global option -c with value `Angel D.D.xml'
This one

Im not sure if you understood differency between firmware and configuration. In the gimx-launcher you can download configurations for use with DIY adapter but adapter needs to be flashed with correct firmware before you can use it. Check this guide out - https://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=DI ... re_loading

You need EMUG27PC.

Thank you , I am not to sure locating the file your requesting. I have the gimx software in my C/ drive . Where do I locate the file that you are requesting ?

I belive I have installed the correct firmware. this is what I did .

I opened up Gimx Launcher.
I clicked on help > update firmware > Gimx-loader window pops up > I select EMUG27PC.hex > LOAD
I then follow the instructions that show > once thats completed I get a pop up window > Firmware loaded succesfully.

Open gimx-launcher and click File->Open Config directory. open your configuration with a notepad and copy it's contents here.

Also make sure you use correct firmware. Look at my earlier post to check it out.
