I mentioned that I did check the continuity from pin to pin with a multimeter and the cables plugged in. That is what you are suggesting, right?

I received my third UART board today after waiting the past 5 weeks for it to arrive. Same error.

Jumped on the PJRC forums to ask for tech help since you mentioned that it was a bad teensy. I found this thread:

It says that if the blinking LED example works, the board is good. Maybe this is a Windows issue, or something with my MB.

Teensy may be a chinese clone, it does not have to be bad. If I were you would test it on another PC .

You may buy official adapter, it's tested and 100% working. If you prefer DIY then try with something generic on atmega32U4 like Leonardo clone.

I finally broke down and installed Windows 10 via bootcamp. I'm still seeing the same exact error, and the only thing not different is the teensy. I guess ill head over to the PJRC forums and see if someone can help me figure this thing out.

I just have the same problem and can not make it work.
