New PS3 Slim - Dongle Issues

Post by CKJackson »

Hey Guys,

Any idea what the problem might be?

I am currently using a BT dongle - RocketFish RF-MRBTAD (Broadcom Corporation (15))

and previously on my working PS3 FAT - I had zero connection issues.

I burned out the blu ray and picked up a 320gb PS3 SLIM - and not the dongle seems to disconnect all the time.

Any possible suggestions??

I am eventually switching to the serial (usb) connection - but in the short term??

Cheers

Chris

I suggest you to get a CSR bluecore4 dongle.

I can vouch for this one http://www.dealextreme.com/p/msi-tiny-b ... ible-11825. Just came in the mail yesturday (2 weeks from order). The packaging is a tad bit different, but it's a CSR Bluecore4-ROM.

Is it the same brand = Cubix?

Yes, it's a Cubix. My packaging is just ever so slightly different from the one pictured on the website. Here's a picture of it:

Also, here's the output from the terminal inquiry:

Code: Select all

Type: BR/EDR Bus: USB
BD Address: ##:##:##:##:##:## ACL MTU: 310:10 SCO MTU: 64:8
	Unified 21e
	Chip version: BlueCore4-ROM
	Max key size: 128 bit
	SCO mapping: HCI
