Connection lost

Post by Nanael »

Hi,
I’m using GIMX 1.02 on my brand new Ubuntu 12.04 LS to play on the Slim PS3 (4.45/6 i think).
I’m using an USB Bluettoth dongle and when I play a game (it doesn’t matter the game) everything stop to move on my ps3 but GIMX is still recording my mouse and keyboard instruction.
I have wait maybe 30s and still not moving (so not a lag?)
My actual solution is to stop GIMX and start it again (once or twice) to get it working again :(

You have an idea ?

Thx

Please make a hcidump:

. power off the PS3, unplug and replug the power cable
. in a terminal:
sudo apt-get install bluez-hcidump
sudo hcidump -l 4096 -w capture.dump
. start both emu and emuclient (force update option enabled)
. wait until the connection is lost
. Stop hcidump (ctrl+c)
. Attach capture.dump to a new issue.

. while emu is started, type in a terminal:
sudo hcitool lq <PS3 address>
With <PS3 address> the bluetooth address of your PS3, e.g. 01:02:03:04:05:06.
This displays the link quality, in the 0..255 range (255 being the best quality, and 0 the lowest).

Thanks.
I see no disconnection in the capture. Did you waited for the connection to be lost?

Bluetooth disconnecting after few seconds

Post by logi »

Hello, I am running Ubuntu 13.04 on my Lenovo S205 with internal bluetooth card. My PS3 is "superslim" model. Bluetoothd --version says 4.101. Everthing is completly allright, but after few seconds (like 20s) game says that controller is disconnected. Even a tab that captures imputs closes. Is there a solution for that, or it is because of my laptop? Thanks for help.
