I said something similar in their ps4 wheel edition firmware video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxmvGom6oPE but they erase it, I agree we should support great contributions for gamers like GIMX, I donĀ“t have a usb adapter right now but I will build one this weekend to try out the new test apps for my G920 Wheel.

I have a Fanatec GT2 wheel and CSR Elite pedals. Did you want any tests on this combination of hardware?

Yes, tests are very welcome. Make sure to enable PC mode before running the tests.

The GIMX software is now able to translate the G29 FFB commands to DirectInput FFB effects.
For now only constant, spring, and damper effects are supported.
For testing I forced my DFGT wheel to be handled as a non-Logitech wheel.
I did not test it intensively, but it seems to work pretty well!
I will build a test version very soon :)

I still need non-Logitech wheel owners to run the ginput_haptic_test_2 / ffb_0 test apps and report the results.

Thanks for the update Matlo. Great work mate. Does it also translate G27 and Driving Force(old PS2 Gran Turismo wheel) forces from the PS3 as well or just G29 for now? The Driving Force emulation is what I'm most excited about since that wheel was the only one that Ridge Racer 7 supported back in 2005.

Yes GIMX is able to translate any Logitech FFB dialect to:
  • any other Logitech FFB dialect
  • DirectInput FFB effects
What I'm calling a dialect is a slight variation of the protocol that is specific to a wheel or a group of wheels.

No luck with my g920. I edited the driving pro gt config to try it out quickly.
But had no ffb. Got the follow errror message src/hid/windows/ghid.c:356 ghid_write: the device has no HID OUT endpoint
