I have a laptop with an Intel 6235 wifi module with CSR8510 bluetooth 4.0 combined.
Unfortunately it does not work (yet). I get the following error messages:
reset device manually
read address after set: ko!
It does work with an external Broadcom usb dongle I have around but gives some lag. Therefore I would like to have it running on the recommended CSR8510 which is in this Intel.
I tried sudo hciconfig hci0 reset
but that did not work. What can I do?

Hi,
What's the output of the "hcirevision hci0" command?

Re: Intel 6235 - CSR8510 does not work
For some reason it does not accept its bluetooth address to be changed.
Try to get a bluetooth dongle with a CSR 8510 chip.

This IS a CSR8510...Matlo wrote:For some reason it does not accept its bluetooth address to be changed.

Maybe it's in the driver, BlueZ missing or I should try anoother Linux distribution?

I meant a USB dongle.
You should stick to that requirement, or fix the bdaddr tool yourself (it's unsure it can be fixed).
