GIMX and DIY USB on Windows 10 @ PS4 stops after a while

Post by mrramires »

Hi.

Tks for remembering me.
This issue I resolved. It was a connection problem. I changed the wires and everything worked fine. The DIY USB was recognized.
But then, the wheel stop responding after the same time period as User888.

Here is an excerpt from the whole log file:

Did you disable power saving as explained on the wiki?

I disabled the power saving in all USB devices, disabled power saving on the PS4 controller. I also disabled the screen saver.
I found the COM port, but it doesn't has the option to "Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"."
Since my Windows is brazillian, I'll translate:

It says the COM port is not connected to the computer.

:?:

Thks for the fast answer

I did not see any error in the log.
Usually this kind of error is due to a wiring issue, a power saving issue or a faulty USB cable.

Thks for your support Matlo.

I'll change the wires and USB cables and review power saving schemes.
I'll install GIMX in Ubuntu just for the kicks.

Thks again.

I wish you success! Congrats on your great work.

I remembered that there is a pending issue with at90usb1286 boards (such as the Teensy ++ 2.0).
https://github.com/matlo/GIMX/issues/367
There is no such issue with atmega32u4 boards (such as the Teensy 2.0).
