Hey,

I recently bought PS3 as an addition to my Xbox 360. Im a hardcore PC gamer that remember many old games. Mice + keyboard is a must for me and I had a big trouble playing Halo or Killzone on consoles. I ended them but I felt like a disabled person while using analogs to aim. I started to look for a solution that could give me ability to connect mouse and keyboard. There are a lot of emulators like Eagle Eye but they are all very pricey. Some days ago I found this project. I decided to give it a try using Ubuntu liveUSB stick and PS3 with bluetooth Sixaxis emulation.

I was a bit skeptical but once I run software and launched Killzone 1 HD I had to change difficulty from easy to hard! These bots didn't know where to hide while I was using mouse. That was like a shooting range! Completely different feelings from Sixaxis pad.

So to get a compatbility with Xbox360 I've ordered a Arduino Leonardo Atmega32u4 clone and CP2102 converter.

I assembled everything yesterday and here are the results:

Put all of these components into the box and connected it to PS3:

Thanks for this software! You rock mate!

Welcome!
Add Raspberry PI to release workload form your laptop (it takes less power) ;)

Hey,

I've heard that Raspberry Pi doesn't work that well as a PC. I didn't spotted high CPU usage, GIMX isn't resource hungry. This laptop is a monster with 4.0 GHz CPU so it eats a lot of power in idle anyway ;)

I use either my Lenovo laptop with Ubuntu or Raspberry PI 2+ with Raspbian and results were always exactly the same.
Config/game either works very well with both devices or with none of them :D
Now you have even new model P PI 3B.
I bet power consumption of your laptop is far higher than 2A - 4A "phone" charger. ;) and you have other typical Unix server advantages.

...but at the end if it works for you, use what you like the most. :D
