Have you heard about Raspberry Pi ?
Raspberry Pi is a 25$ dollar computer made by David Braben, the initial idea was for education purpose,to help children all of the world that don't have access to computer.
It came with Ubuntu, but we don't have GIMX ARM binaries, to use GIMX, you need compile the source code, guide you can find here: Development on Linux

I've heard about that, but I think it will be not powerful enough to run GIMX as-is. It probably will require to build a lighter app.
What's more interesting is the possibility to make the device work as a "usb proxy" (in the case the board has both usb host and usb otg), just like the XIM3!
