gimx-config *** Caught unhandled unknown exception; terminating

All my config edit exe's were working just fine until a few minutes ago. When I try to open gimx-config it states

Code: Select all

*** Caught unhandled unknown exception; terminating
I tried repairing the install files and running under admin. No luck. My gimx-launcher works just fine, but I can't edit any configs now... which is an obvious issue.

Any suggestions?

My adapter isn't the issue as it works just fine within the launcher. But if that info is needed for help, I bought it off ebay from Michael@ButlerPC.net.

Firmware and updates don't fix my issue.

When I try to open gimx-fpsconfig it does not work as well:

Code: Select all

wxWidgets Debug Alert

../wxWidgets-3.0.4//src/common/wincmn.cpp(477): assert
"GetEventHendler() == this" failed in ~wxWindowBase(): any pushed
event handlers must have been removed
Do you want to stop the program?
You can also choose [cancel] to suppress further warnings.
I'm connecting my Gimx adapter to my drivehub to my PS5

I posted my windows information above, I also repaired the application using the install exe. When that didn't work, I uninstalled completely then re-installed the application. Still doing the same thing.

You might need to delete all your config files; if one of them is corrupted or has an unexpected bug. I'm not sure where they are stored on Windows, maybe in the My Documents folder somewhere.

If that doesn't fix it, wait for someone else to get back here.

for anyone needing to do the same thing, the config files are located under Users/appdata/roaming/gimx/config
