I have one controller for the gimx setup that is hardwired via usb to my PC and my 2nd one is paired with PS4 via bluetooth. I'll give this a go next weekend.

Do I wire up a voltage divider to chip the same way I would when connecting teensy to a pi?

Anything else out of the ordinary(compared to our usual gimx & adapter installs) that I need to be aware of?

Did you use teensy with pins? I bent my pins with the jumper wires connected to fit into a small container which gave me connection issues(pretty much what you described in your post). I noticed the jumpers were loose fitting(probably stretched from using them to bend pins) so attached a new set tha...
