Yes this is possible.

Go to gimx-config and add a second binding for same button. Gimx-config will warn you that it's already bind and if you are sure to do that second time, just click Yes and proceed further. That button will now push two "buttons" on controller.

Yes you can use a keyboard notebook. I suggest connecting GIMX adapter directly to PC and not to Hub as it can add latency. I also suggest using PC if you aren't experienced user in Pi as Pi support is still experimental. You only need two ports to update firmware. Just connect both USBs to computer...

This is very old post. I think the best idea would be to just buy something at Atmega32u4. We supported Atmega328 long ago but there were too many problems with it so we're supporting only one chip now.

Arduino Uno is Atmega328 chip and it's not supported. You need to use Atmega32u4 chip to make it work.
