htusa31 is right, the 3.3kΩ resistor should be between VOut (RPi/RXD) and GND, and the 2.2kΩ resistor should be between VIn (atmega32u4/TXD) and VOut.

I've checked the resistors color codes on the picture and your right... the picture itself is correct but the labeling is somehow swapped.
And because of this it's swapped on the description below as well.

I've corrected this now... thx for the hint !

Hi. Thank you for the tutorial.
I followed it , minus the button part and static ip.but anyway it works very well with my g25.
I'm out for some holidays but as soon as i came back to home i will try to post some pictures of my setup . I've also ordered some orange pi pc.maybe if i can make gimx to work with it it will be great for some people as an alternative to the rasberry.thanks again to you and matlo for this great software.

Fishe/Rudy,

Are you having any issues with the force feed back left right locking issues?
I havent noticed any but I havent had mine running for more than a few minutes. Just tweaking some Pi settings and the .xml file a bit here and there to improve the handling.
I have noticed that the force feed back is stronger on the pie than my pc.

I don't have a DIY-adapter so i can't compare the handling with pc version.

The only racing game i have is DIRT... and for me it just feels like it should (without knowing how a real G29 feels like).
And as far as i can tell i never noticed any "locking issues".

The only "issue" i have is that i have to wait about 1-2 minutes until the DS4s LED flashes yellow. Before that the wheels isn't noticed by the PS4.
Is this a normal behaviour ? Are there any workarounds or tweaks or whatever to avoid or decrease this waiting time ?
EDIT: Do i need to add "--event "abs_axis_2(255)" --dst 127.0.0.1:51914" (Pressing G29 PS button) to solve this issue ?

A little drawback i see is that in my tutorial i use 'raspbian jessie lite' so that u can't use gimx gui to comfortably tweak the settings.
An interesting idea could be to use 'DietPi'(using a lightweight desktop) + one of those cheap little waveshare touchscreens to build kind of a 'deluxe' adapter.

Did my own adapter recently, this thread has helped me a lot. I used Arduino Pro Micro and Raspberry Pi 2.

Nice setup!
Did you use blu-tack to fasten the pro micro and the logic level shifter?
I remember using blu-tack in hot conditions, and at some temperature point it became conductive!
It was above 70°C as far as I can remember.
My advice is to check the conductivity with a multimeter, after some playing session.
Hot glue is a good alternative.

I used 3M VHB double sided sticky tape (comes in big rectangles and you can cut it to any size). It holds really well, nearly impossible to remove.

Blu-tack was used only as a temporary holder when soldering on the table.

Thank you for this nice tutorial.

I just created my setup yesterday after I finally have access to my raceseat and G27 again (couldn't use it since a 1 1/2 year because of missing space).

I used your uploaded image, the only thing I would change is to remove the fixed ip from the settings and enable dhcp.
So that it is easier to access it if some other ip range is used or the ip is already taken.
