ERROR: FAILED TO READ PACKET HEADER FROM THE GIMX ADAPTER

Post by Pr2 »

HI

Im trying to setup a DYI adapter using raspberry pi and arduino pro micro.

I have intalled GIMX 7.2 to do so

The problem is that when I try to start GIMX, I allways get the following error:
ERROR: FAILED TO READ PACKET HEADER FROM THE GIMX ADAPTER

I have flashed my AVR board again, checked the wiring and tryed to change TX and RX to see if are mislabelled. Previously I was getting an similar error on async.c but I disabled hciuart and i got rid of it, Im not sure if this is correct.

Any ideas¿? I am performing my tests pluging only AVR board, not connecting G27 neither DS4 but I think the error have nothing to do with those components, right?¿

Thx!

EDIT: I tested my RPI UART using "minicon -D /dev/ttyserial0" and bypassing 8 and 10 pins, so UART looks working fine. Also my PRO micro looks fine as long as it can load correctly firmwares using avrdude.

As far as I remember pro micro is on atmega32u4. Please try flashing firmware with gimx-loader.

Yes this is normal.
Windows won't recognize AVR board after flashing firmware but target console will.
