Button debounce RPi3+MS ForceFeedback Wheel

Hello!
Is there a way to debounce button presses? I’m using GIMX 7.7-1 on a RPi3 Raspbian Stretch, custom adapter and a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel USB, playing P. Cars 2 on a PS4.
Wheel is old
but is working great with GIMX! Only issue is that when shifting, it sometimes registers the press twice, most probably because my wheel buttons are old. I’ve already disassembled the wheel and cleaned the buttons with contact cleaner — improved but still getting buttons bounce occasionally. Wondering if a delay can be configured to avoid this in GIMX.
