CronusX

Post by zalibidas »

Doesn't seem to work with the Cronus X. Its basically the same as the Cronus but with a few mod packs. Was just wondering if its just not supported or if its a problem on my end.

When I open gimx, it simply says it doesn't detect anything. I can't select it from the drop down etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I'll check when I get home from work. Another reason after reading a bit that it might not work- it uses its own firmware I think. Doesn't use GPP firmware I believe its called. I think it can be updated to that.. but then I believe I'll lose the mods. But yeah, when I get home I'll update with a new posted containing that info.

How can I tell which one in the device manager is the CronusX device? Probably something simple... but yeah.

Just unplug/replug the CronusX, and you will see what device disappears/reappears.

The Vendor ID is probably unchanged. For the GPP/Cronus it is 0x2508.

Bump.

It would be nice if someone could provide the VID/PID of the CronusX, so that GIMX can support it!

It turns out that the CronusX has the same VID/PID than the Cronus.
The Cronus X should work fine with GIMX.

You have to select GPP as controller type.
The "Device" combo box is grayed out as GIMX doesn't need a USB to serial device to communicate with the GPP/Cronus/Cronus X.

I only tested with a GPP, but it should work with a Cronus/CronusX as well.
