I installed sixaxis emu on a friend's notebook, his notebook BT BDARR could be changed, theres no Chip Version information and the manufacture is one of those generics.
I don't know the exactly model, but it's a Sony Vaio, i'll ask him.

Edit: Sony Vaio VPC-YB15AB

I think these two last dongles are not a good choice, as they have no brand name. The seller or its supplier can basically use any dongle with the same shape as replacement.

I had already added that "Super" dongle to the not-permanent-list (links to same dx page as well) so if they can now suddenly be set permanently, they're selling a different model in it's place. I would not suggest it as the go-to dongle since you may or may not get one that can have it's adr. permanently changed.

It's not all bad though considering the price since it'll work either way, and if permanent adr. isn't all that important to the user.

partially working: dongles fitted with the chip "integrated systems solution corp. (57)" seem to work "partially".

the bt address can be set until the next reset of the dongle, it can communicate with a ps3 and drive macros..

BUT: every now and then.. i've seen that in about 2 hours, about 1 command in a macro "may be" absorbed. i have tried to adapt a macro to its very basic settings to fit gt5 b-spec (ps3). it seems to work for hours without interaction. but somehow, i don't trust the dongle.

it wasn't willing to work well on a dell precision equipped notebook with a dual 1,8GHz core. i had sluggish/lag outputs as every cursor movement could be one field or some fields or endless fields...

but! the dongle is quite happy on a very old toshiba notebook equipped with a single core p3 < 800 MHz. i am running the simplified gt5 macro for hours and hours there..

so, maybe just another hint: sluggish dongles should be tested on other hardware. if you're lucky, it will work better ;)

Recommended dongles are listed in the first post of this thread.

GIMX only works over bluetooth with Linux (not Windows).
