Anyone successful with this setup -- should I use the older GIMX 0.52? I would like to add what I can to the wiki and help out once my setup is successful.

Please let me know what your Raspberry Pi versions and running OS and packages are.

Thanks!

Also would it be better to go USB Windoze, or Bluetooth Linux? (As Im sure I could re-purpose the Rpi for a million other things :)

There is no more reason to go back to GIMX 0.51 since I fixed the latency issue.

USB+Linux is my personal choice!

Here's and update with where I am stuck at:

Linux - Ubuntu 12.10 installed (Live CD that was lying around)
Bluetooth - RocketFish - Broadcom Chipset (15)
GIMX - Latest version off downloads

Whats the best way of getting a macro to record with the latest version? I looked into the --event syntax, but when I try and make it "up(255)" it will strike once delay then keep going indefinitely (keep pressing up), until I put in --event up(0), So I get it I have to give it timings. Cool, NP.

Heres the second part of the problem: if I string it all together in the terminal emuclient --event "up(255)" && sleep 0.05 && --event "up(0)", it wont run and then tells me no controller detected.(not the exact error away from PC)

The same behaviour is seen in any of the lstick, rstick, x,y events...

Bluetooth issues? Bad Linux Version? Bad syntax? Please help Matlo

Sorry for the delay.

The --event command argument is not intended to be used for macros.
There's a built-in macro feature: http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Macros
