Hi, now i have te following problem, grd->grd , tx->rx, rx->tx , i already tried to swap tx, rx, have a teensy 2.0pins with a usb converter cp2102, my ps3 recognize the teensy as a controller, but i cannnot press anything and this is the result without pressing anything (im using the config of Mckack for CoD: BO ), maybe mi converter is broken after what hapenned before (POST 1). Plz helppp
PD: I test this in Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.10 (i asumed no driver install here)

Sorry for the late reply.

Wiring like that is the worst thing to do. You are going to have connection errors that will result in control glitches.

You rather should solder the wires or use jumper cables like in the tutorial from McKack.

Congrats for your little boy! :)

Matlooooo, i did what you said, I just bought jumper cables (or something close enough), but still the same glitch as above in the youtube link
my setup

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/15/photo14jf.jpg/

the pin assignments of the converter
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/441/photo11wu.jpg/

everything looks ok, did i broke both the converter and the teensy when i connected it wrong? the converter shows in device manager when i connect it and in linux too, and the teensy is recognize in the ps3 as a controller, sooo no idea, plzzz help

when i connected it wrong i was following the mckack tutorial and i did not look the pin assignment, so i think i connected

ground (teensy) <-> 5v (conver)
rx/tx <-> ground/rx

I think you have to invert the red and orange wires.

Did you install the serial converter drivers?
It is mandatory, even if windows seems to handle the device properly.

If it still does not work, you should consider buying a new serial converter, preferably the same as shown in the tutorials.
