It was really hard to deal with this one. Game looks superb but engine introduces a lot of input lag, deadzone is working bad, it was criticized a lot on the internet, KZ3 improved situation a little.

Thanks to latest GIMX improvements I managed to create a config for this game but still, it's playability is rated Bad for a reason. It's a lot better than on pad though so if you haven't completed it or want to make an Elite run, it's worth a try.

A genuine DS3 with gyroscope is required to move valves/plant charges. You also need to use DS3 to shoot with sniper rifle (gyroscope)

Config data:
  • Game: KILLZONE 2
  • Platform: PS3
  • Device: Mouse
  • Playability: Bad
Additional required steps:
  1. Install 1.29 patch, this is really important, otherwise you won't have High Precision option
  2. Set controls as on screenshot -

  3. Connect your DS3 to PS3 and set it as second controller (should be done automatically)
Notes:
  • You need genuine DS3 with gyroscope to make some motion sense required actions in the game. When you encounter that situation press PS button on the DS3 and reassign controller as the first one. Do what you need to do and then press PS button on keyboard (GIMX) and reassign GIMX as first one.
  • Do not touch in-game sensitivity to change it to the other value than on screenshot. I really mean it. If you want to decrease/increase sensitivity then try with config sensitivity or set your mouse DPI to match 2800 (safest)
