The dead zone only relates to the following stick aiming mechanism: there is no movement until your stick goes past a stick position zone. This zone is called dead zone. To use a mouse as on PC we need to counteract this mechanism, because we want small mouse movements result in small screen movements.

Regarding deadzone.. The fact that lowering the exponent, and not upping the deadzone is what smoothed my aim (like I said, deadzone seems to have little to no effect to making a smooth slow aim), you think this is a function of a bug in the game then? Or am I misunderstanding what deadzone really means?
