PS4 Not detecting input

Post by EliotM »

Hi im using a pretty weird setup. I have 2 arduino unos set up and im using one as a serial to usb adapter and the other as the GIMX board. When i try to run GIMX it seems to work but the PS4 does not take the input. This is the log (https://pastebin.com/x1jHRNLg) and here is a photo of my setup (https://imgur.com/dUSwBuA) (The board with the green dot on the USB terminal is the serial to usb one) (The white USB goes to my PC and the white one goes to my PS4)

I have a DS4 controller connected to my PC via USB
Thanks,
Eliot

PS: It says 'gimx extied and the activation button was not pressed' whenever I exit the command line if that helps

[Ps4] Gimx exited but activation button was not pressed

Post by EliotM »

Here is my logs https://pastebin.com/x1jHRNLg
It says press the ps button to activate the controller but I tried pressing the physical one and the one set in the configuration and neither do anything.
When I quit the command line it says gimx exited but activation button was not pressed.

I can't see the PS button being pressed in the log. Maybe you omitted this during the capture?

Plug the other end of your adapter into your computer (instead of the PS4), and see if any device gets detected after clicking on the start button. If no device gets detected, try another cable.

It's not in this log but now even when I press the Ps button on my keyboard it does send any input to the console. I'll try plugging both ends into my pc in a bit as I just woke up

Nevermind it comes up as UsbDK in other devices in device manager sorry. Im now using a CP201x and an arduino uno instead of two arduino unos btw.

Did you unplug the atmega328? I think it may interfere with the serial com.
Also, to avoid issues you should use a board based on the atmega32u4.

Yes I did. I'm sorry I can't. I live in a place where online shopping takes years and there is nothing local
