Hi,
I build a test package:
http://gimx.fr/download/17253aa80df143e ... 1_i386.deb
It has the same version number as the latest GIMX package, but it is slightly different.
Just reinstall GIMX from this test package.
Let me know if it works.

I was already to tell you every thing was going great then
After a 5 lap race in drive club at a abought 7.5 mins I had no control no buttons would work
Gimx was still running fine
I pressed shift and escape
Checked the log no errors
I then clicked start pressed the ps button on the wheel and it did the same again (ran fine for approx 7.5 mins)
I repeated this 3 or 4 times
I had another diy usb
Adapter so I tried that
same thing
Sorry to bring you bad news if there is anything I can do to test it let me know I can send you one of the adaptors if that would help
I will do more testing to see if I can get any more info
I will try to find another computer to test with

Check your USB cables and HUBs. One of them may be bad.

That fixed it I replaced both usb micro cables and no problems tested in Linux and Windows
