Hi,
Well, I've always been curious about the steam controller
Fund me one (64,99€) and I'll add support for it.

Re: Steam Controller input not recognized in gimx-config
You should have received the donation.
Maybe you can bring later ps2 pad emulation back.
Currently using an old gimx version for it and it is working without any problems. Would love to play my old systems also with the steam controller.
Using ps2pad emulation with ps2 -> gc, ps2 -> xbox classic, ps2 -> gc -> wii u smash
All are working fine.
Was there a special reason to remove this ?
Thx for your support and time.

Thanks, I ordered the controller.
I have good news for you regarding the PS2: I recently bought one and plan to make a new firmware compatible with the latest software!

Re: Steam Controller input not recognized in gimx-config
Hi,
I was quite disappointed by Valve's decision not to release an open-source API for the steam controller.
But someone already started making one: https://github.com/ynsta/steamcontroller
I'll try to make GIMX able to use advanced functionalities of the steam controller.

Thx for the info.
Isn't it easier to simply accept the xinput from the controller ?
Currently using the controller with in home streaming so gimx isn't running on the pc which the controller is connected to.

Re: Steam Controller input not recognized in gimx-config
It's better to have native support within the GIMX software.
This means less latency and better portability (GIMX also runs on GNU/Linux).
EDIT:
I described the decoded input format here: http://gimx.fr/wiki/index.php?title=Steam_Controller

Re: Steam Controller input not recognized in gimx-config
Thx for the update.
I have some general question about the shield controller.
Have you played a game with the controller ?
I don't know if it's a problem on my controller or a general one, but the deadzone on the left analog stick is horrible in each game, also using the anti deadzone setting.
I need to move the controller some time for ingame movement.
Same games with the xbox one controller the movement is instant if I move the left analog stick.
Is there any way to fix this ? I don't think so because it's hardcoded in the controller Firmware ?
Thx & Greeting
