xbox one + DIY USB - No response to control inputs
Posted: Thu Mar 24, 2016 9:57 pm
I'm very new to GIMX, so I apologize in advance for any simple mistakes I've made. I've done my best to google my issue and look through the wiki for solutions, FAQ, and through these forums. Hopefully, I'm doing something simple wrong.
I followed the DIY USB adapter for dummies faq as closely as I could. The only variance I am aware of, is that my CP2102 looks slightly different from the one in the pictures. It took me awhile, but I figured out that I needed a xbox one controller connected to the PC. Does it matter that it is a wireless controller that is wired? (vs a wired only controller). I was confused about what order I needed to turn things on and off (the adapter, controller and console), but I tried various combinations. I made sure that the controller was off when I plugged it in. The order, as I understand it (assuming USB is plugged in to both PC and xbox). is to turn on the console. plug in the controller, start the launcher.
The launcher appears to run fine, but the xbox does not respond to any of my inputs (mouse and keyboard).
