Game Input MultipleXer

Hi I sold my ps4 and moved to series x and when I try to use my adaptor the gimx says xbox controller was not found (something like that). Is the adapter varies from ps to xbox ? if not, how can I make it work on xbox series x.
PS. since there are no gamepad cable that comes with the xbox Im using my phone's type-c cable to connect the gamepad to xbox.
ps2. I have just noticed when I connect my xbox gamepad to pc the gamepad works on pc do I need do disable the gamepad on pc or smething else ?
