fail to read packet header from the gimx adapter

Post by piruloo »

my pc does not detect the gimx, one day I turn it off and everything is correct and the next day it does not work, I have been trying to solve this problem for days, my adapter may be broken or it is just a software problem, has anyone else had this problem.https://imageshack.com/i/pnjRyCldp

Hi

Please generate a log file and add it here

Also can you check if the com port is correct for the adapter and the target console is turned on before you start

Check your usb cables

if you are using any usb hubs try to run it without one just to test

You can also double check the wiring to make sure there is no loose connections on the adapter is not loose

Are you running any programs that monitors a n ups as they can grab the port and cause malfunctions

I checked the gimx's com port. I changed the gimx's usb port and the connector cable. I made sure to connect the ds4 to the pc and didn't get a response. I don't know how to generate a record. I'm clumsy with computers

Set the messages option to log file click on start when you exit you will get a notepad popup with log file

Only time I have seen the failed to packet was when I had a faulty cable from adapter to console so just double check it and make sure console is turned on as it will also generate this error since the adapter is not getting power from the console side

Ok

In the launcher there is an option under the selected config named messages set that to log file and click start it will show a blank box after it exits you will have the log file in notepad as it will auto open.

Are you using the latest version of GIMX and was your adapter flashed to the new firmware you can check by going to help menu then about.

Try downloading the latest cp2104 driver.

Remember to reboot your computer after installation.
