New setup not registering with PS3

I have the following setup
Teensy 2.0++
CP2102 USB serial adaptor
Firmware 1.10 -- at90usb1286.hex
GIMX 1.10

I can't get the PS3 to recognise the teensy 2.0++ and I can get windows to recognise the CP2102

I can't seem to get GIMX under Linux (Fedora or Sabayon) to recognise the CP2102 even with various udev rules.

I shall upgrade to 1.11 and see how that goes.

I've checked the tx/rx but without the PS3 recognising the teensy2.0++ I figure it is not going to work.

Did you install the CP2102 windows drivers?

Connect your teensy to your PC and check the device manager. It should detect a controller.

Holidays are finally here and I have 5 minutes to think to myself :)

Yes cp2102 drivers are installed.

Using windows the teensy 2.0++ is detected as a "HID-compliant game controller"

The CP2102 is detected as "Silicon Labs CP210X USB to UART Bridge (Com6)

My tx/rx wires were crossed and now I can get gimx serial to interact with my game.

So totally awesome.

I expect there will be a significant amount of learning about the settings so I have some reading to do ;0

I've already created a working profile for my game and I'm just fine tuning the mouse sensitivity.
