Ubuntu 13:10 as far as I remember. Do you think it's the BT device?

It could be the bt dongle.
Please make a hcidump:
. in a terminal:
sudo apt-get install bluez-hcidump
sudo hcidump -l 4096 -w capture.dump
. start the gimx command (with the --status argument) in another terminal
. turn on the ds4 (retry until you get the "accepted connection from ..." message)
. stop hcidump (ctrl+c)
. send me the capture.dump file
