Hey Guys,
I am looking for the right way to setup the sensitivity to mimic the right stick sensitivity but with the joyustick as the input.
This is for battlefield3 for the jets and helicopters..
I am running into the problem oif moving my stick slighty with it moving as if they ps3 stick is fully extended.
Thanks
Chris
flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
Re: flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
In case of a joystick axis [-32768;+32767] to stick mapping [-128;+127], the sensitivity should be automatically set to 127/32767, which is roughly 0.004. The dead zone and the exponent should also be automatically set to resp. 0/1.
Is it not automatically set? What version are you using?

Currently using 0.23 - It was initially setup with 0 -deadzone 0.004 multiplier and 1 exp.
I will retry these settings agian to make sure they worked.
Would there be any differences for a throttle controls (joystick) to mimic the y movements in the lstick? and would I use rectangle as the shape?

Re: flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
Hey all,
Looking for some help with the following: BF3
1) having the game sensitivity at full results in the joystick being too sensitive. Should I:
a) reduce the ingame sensitivity to an ideal amount, then increase the x multiplier to satisfy the mouse controls?
b) is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the joystick, while not influencing configuration 1 and 2?
2) I am currently holding down a button while utilizing the joystick during flight (configuration 3 key).
Is there any easier option? ie push a key on the joystick when you want to use it and push a key when you want to go back to the normal configuration 1 and configuration 2 - ie right mouse button(ADS)?
Many thanks guys
Cheers

Re: flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
1) Decrease the multipliers.
2) Define a trigger for configuration 1, and unset "switch back" for configuration 3.

2) Worked great!
1) Increasing the multipliers says n/a in the calibration screen2

Re: flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
The calibration mode is only for the mouse. You have to use sixemuconf to change the multiplier.

Re: flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
Its currently set at 0.004 any suggestions?
Should I drop the exponant? Or put the multiplier to 0,001?

Re: flight joystick - emulated to right stick and left stick
Yes, decrease it to 0.0035 for example. The smallest step is 1/32767=0.00003.

Merci!
This is going to be a tricky one to tweak as you dont get to spend much time in the jets/heli's to practice and tweak!
I'll keep you guys posted on what I end up going with!
Cheers
