No ports listed in gimx-launcher

I have exactly the same problem!
I have tried in two computers and get the same problem in both. Windows also displays an error message stating that there is something wrong with the USB device when it is plugged in. I have re-installed the Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge drivers but it has no effect.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure you plugged the right side of the adapter to the computer?

Feel like a fool... The issue was that I did not have a wired PS4 control connected to the computer. Once connected everything is working fine.
