Adapter Not Detected on One Computer
Re: Adapter Not Detected on One Computer
It sounds like your racing rig may have driver or USB port issues. Try connecting the adapter to different USB ports. Ensure the CP2102 drivers are correctly installed, and check USB power management settings to prevent the device from being turned off. If possible, reflash the firmware on the adapter using a working computer and run the GIMX launcher as an administrator to see if it helps with detection.

Experiencing racing rig detection problems can be frustrating! Besides the excellent tips about USB ports and driver installations (especially CP2102), consider temporarily disabling other USB devices to isolate conflicts. Also, while troubleshooting, maybe take a break and check out Omegle for some casual chat. Remember to run GIMX launcher as admin after reflashing.

This is a helpful set of troubleshooting steps! I've definitely had similar USB issues with other devices, and sometimes it's the simplest thing like a different port or driver reinstall that fixes it. It's frustrating when you just want to get racing and you're stuck tinkering. Maybe try a different USB cable, too? Sometimes, a faulty cable can cause those intermittent connection drops. It reminds me of how frustrating it can be to get your favorite ride working just right, like customizing your ride in a game, just like the famous Eggy Car!
