PARTLY SOLVED Raspberry 2 + DIY + G25 + PS4

Post by dermax93 »

UPDATE!
It was the damn usb cable the 3rd I tried worked .... never thought of that ;) Now i have a perfect FFB and everything working about a minute, then nothing happen and the throttle is stuck on 100% till I replug and restart gimx.

Ill now try the thing as the guy tried with his G27 and the RPi3 and the kernel update.

BTW I still don't know if the G27_G29.xml is the right for me?

MIDNIGHT UPDATE:

I have now tried so much things. My Raspberry is on a 1.8A Powerbrick, maybe thats the fault, idk... but i connect all the externals to a powered USB Hub except of the g25. I soldered the wires of the DIY adapter and I changed and swapped every single USB cable.
What happens is:

I boot the Raspberry, on autostart it starts gimx & loads the xml, everything fine, i press the PS Button on my DS4 and it connects to the PS4 - no stress AT ALL ;) now i start let's say ProjectCars and load up the Nordschleife in a nice RUF GT3 and at one time i make it 4 minutes and the other time just two corners until the connection fails and I have to re-plug the G25 and reconnect the DS4.

Please help. :) :)

SOLVED
Hi guys after several unsucsessful days with my setup i finally reach out to you all.
I build the setup as followed:
CP2102 to a ProMicro Leonardo "ripoff" flashed with the G29 PS4 EMU.
Wired it up like this for test purposes:
Image
So first i did not find a G25 to G29 xml in the repo but i used the one for the G27, On the raspberry i check DIY USB, ttyUSB0 and phys. devs. When i hit start it breaks with the last log entry: "can't read packet header. No controller detected. adapter_detect failed."
I tried ever combination of what to plug in first and so on also the RX-TX switch was done -> nothing :(
SOLVED

So can any of you guys provide me some help?

best regards, max

So you finally solved the problem?? It was the USB? Now you haven't get the LIBUSB_TRANSFER_TIMED_OUT??

I've used all usb cables I have at home, in fact I finally plug the CP2102 directly to the Pi, the Wheel cable to the Pi (can't replace this builtin cable) and I used 3 or 4 cables to connect the PS4 pad and the Leonardo.

Nothing Works, after a few corners same error...

No I haven't solved the problem with the LIB_USB.... just the thing that i did not managed to even get a connection to the PS4. It was the bread-board and the poor wiring, everything soldered now, & fine!
So nothing solved software-wise :(
