the GIMX software version: 3.2
the OS: Windows 64bit
the adapter: DIY USB adapter
the console: PS4
the game: Destiny
the controller: G500 and Logitech Classic Keyboard 200
I downloaded the WINDOWS_Dualshock4.xml profile and used Gimx-fpsconfig to make this .xml into a config for Destiny. In Destiny, you have to press the touch pad to bring up the menu. When I touch the touch pad on the DS4, it recognizes it in the Gimx-launcher GUI. When I press however it does not. Because of this, obviously I can't open the menu.
The other part of this is that when I originally went to edit the config I get the error message "Profiles 1 & 2 do not contain the same bindings. Editing this conf with gimx-fpsconfig can mess the bindings. Can I assume that by editing the config in Gimx-fpsconfig that this is causing an issue in the XML and in turn making Gimx-launcher crash after a couple of minutes?
EDIT: One other concern that I have is that for some reason Gimx doesn't seem to retain mouse grab anymore. After a few minutes of play, my character stays moving in the same direction he was moving and if I look at my PC, my cursor is moving all over the place.
DS4 Issue With Windows - Random Crashes
Re: DS4 Issue With Windows - Random Crashes
Hi,
Could you please try GIMX 3.3 and see if the crashes still occur?
As for the mouse grab issue, please make sure you don't have any task manager opened while running gimx, and see if the problem still occurs.

Re: DS4 Issue With Windows - Random Crashes
So far while running 3.3, there have not been any crashes. I'll continue with it and see how it goes.
Based on your statement for mouse grab, it seems as if task manager can cause issues with mouse grab. I'm assuming that is my problem as usually have task manager open while recording gameplay footage. I can do without it for PS4 capture though so this should resolve the issue.
Any suggestion for the issue with pressing the touch pad? Is that button somehow mappable so I don't have to use the DS4 but can map it to a key on my keyboard?

Did you try to map a key to the button named "touchpad" using gimx-config?

Re: DS4 Issue With Windows - Random Crashes
I'll be honest, I never used gimx-config before.
I was able to map a key to "touchpad" and all is good now.
Thanks so much!
I'll continue using 3.3 and see if I have any issues with crashing going forward.
Thanks again!
