Hello matlo !

Post by tawy »

Hello, je m'appelle Tawy.
I ran across several website and found that the Atmega32U is often used as a game controller.
I am now here, and i see that the PS4 controller works... where Akishop Custom is not with their PS360+ sold something like 60$ (and VERY buggy).
Do you think that something like this http://www.ebay.fr/itm/191280336795 can be used as a PS3+PS4+360+XBOXOne+Dreamcast+SNES+... controller ? The MC Cthulhu, on a PIC18LF2550 already does half the job (360 and PS4 not working). The PCB is big and seems not be updated anymore. The PS360+ is very buggy.
If a small and cheap PCB like the one shown on the link before can do that, i think you can change the world of arcade stick modding.
Merci.

Hi and welcome,
The 360/X1/PS4 consoles use authentication to make sure the controller is genuine, which means the adapter has to forward data between a genuine controller and the console. GIMX does this using a genuine controller connected to the computer (which may be a PC, but also a Raspberry Pi). The board you are linking to can be used with GIMX and 360/PS4 consoles, but it can't be used alone with 360/X1/PS4 consoles. If you want to discuss further about this subject you can start a new topic in the General Discussion section.
