So, I've made the DIY USB adapter, and have the Dualshock 4 working nicely via the adapter and Dualshock4 config.
When I switch to the LogitechDrivingForcePro_G29.xml, I get the message
joystick not found: Logitech Driving Force Pro USB (0).
Is there a trick or something I need to do to get the GIMX software to recognize the DFP as being plugged in ?
Running Windows 10 home. The DFP lights up and does the quarter turn in both directions and then 1 of the 2 green lights are on.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Forgive me if I'm breaking protocol in any way.

Did you plug the DS4 to the PC? Did you plug the Logitech controller to your PC? Both should be plugged in the PC
Re: Can't get GIMX to recognize Logitech DFP
Please try the LogitechDrivingForcePro_G29_W10.xml config.

yes..
Yes !
YESSS !!!!!
Thank you so much !
Per your suggestion I downloaded the new config which I had not seen before (Thank you!)
For whatever reason, my machine still wouldn't detect.
Tinkered some more for an hour or so. Took a break.
Read some other threads which gave me some ideas. Tried some different stuff. Still nothing.
Remapped a couple buttons and noticed that my wheel was called the joystick "Logitech Driving Force Pro" and not "Driving Force Pro"
I read the opposite of this in a G2x thread.
The lightbulb went on.
I went in and inserted the word "Logitech " with a space behind it in front of every joystick identifier. I used notepad or wordpad I think.
Now it works GREAT !!!
thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU !!!

What a great community. I am thrilled and will now be pulling out the ~ Inside Sim Racing "deathmobile" ~ (a homemade steering wheel mount made of spare wood) from deep in the back of the basement and gearing up. THANKS AGAIN !!!

Did you install the Logitech Gaming Software?

Re: Can't get GIMX to recognize Logitech DFP
Yes. You are correct.
When I was tinkering Saturday, I installed the Logitech Software/driver? package. I did not register though.
Does the Logitech Gaming Software have a positive or adverse effect on the software or adapter ? Could that have been what changed the name ?
Also, I don't know if this matters or not, but I have an older variant of the Logitech DFP released with GT4 with the Gran Turismo GT logo in the center of the wheel rather than the Logitech Logo which came later.
I've been playing PSPlus Driveclub and still need to work out a few things like screensaver on the laptop and the housing/box for the adapter. I'm thinking paperclip box.

Hello Zoup...i'm having your same issue as you...just to clarifiy...can you explain a little bit more what you did to get the DFP functional?zoup wrote:

You opened the xlm config file and you change this line: <device type="joystick"....
for this one: <device type=" Logitech joystick"
As I could seen...there are lines associates with "Logitech Driving Force Pro USB" and for the "PS4 Controller"...you changed for all of them...not just for the Logitech Driving Force Pro, right? So my new config lines should be like these ones:
<device type="Logitech joystick" id="0" name="Logitech Driving Force Pro USB"/>
<device type="Logitech joystick" id="0" name="PS4 Controller"/>
Thanks in advance.

Don't change the device type. Change the device name.

Re: Can't get GIMX to recognize Logitech DFP
Thanks Matlo for your reply.
I've tested too and i'm still having the same problem...GIMX can't find DFP. I tried different combinations: " Logitech...." ; "Logitech..." ; " Logitech... " (I mean with spaces and no spaces between quotation marks) and not worked.
Just to mention...I installed LGS 5.10 64bits drivers...Win10 seems to be ok and detected it well but something happens in the middle.
Maybe i should start a new post with all the information from my setup, but is the standard one: CP2102, arduino leonardo flipped wiring for Rx and Tx, win10 64bits; EMUG29PS4; LogitechDrivingForcePro_G29_W10.xml config (modificated and not).
Any thaughts?
Thanks again

Re: Can't get GIMX to recognize Logitech DFP
Download the config again.
Open it with gimx-config.
In the button tab, click on Auto-detect.
Press a wheel button.
Select a control, and click on Add.
The exact device name will show up in the grid.
Only modify the device name. Don't modifying anything else.
