DIY USB HELP! works with 0.50 but not with new update 1.12!

Hi guys.
Not been on the scene for a while. Ive just updated GIMX from 0.50 to 1.12. Now when i load the serial program it just closes.
any suggestions? here is the link to my adapter.

The tx pin of your avr usb board is probably not properly connected to the rx pin of your usb to serial adapter.

This is required since GIMX 1.10.

no its most definitely connected right! i haven't touched the box only updated the software to 1.12. if i run the old software it will work. ive also updated the the hex!

This connection wasn't used before GIMX 1.10 (no data was transfered from the adapter to the PC).

just checked it.
the TX is PD3 on avr adapter
the RX is PD2 on avr adapter.
bot are soldered and working!
strange!

My CP2102 from ebay was labelled incorrectly, it's possible yours might be as well.

all is sorted. must of been a dry solder joint from AVR. Like you said it didnt us the TX in 0.50.
